Blossom

Blossoms are the flowers of stone fruit trees. The most popular blossom is the cherry blossom. Cherry blossoms symbolise the beginning of spring, a time of renewal and the fleeting nature of life. But, their life span is short. After two weeks of blooming, they start to fall.

Blossoms provide pollen to bees and initiate cross-pollination necessary for the trees to reproduce by producing fruit. Peach blossoms, most cherry blossoms, and some almond blossoms usually have pink petals. Plum blossoms, apple blossoms, orange blossoms, some cherry blossoms, and most almond blossoms are white.
