Pansies

Pansies

Pansy plants are part of the Viola family. It originated from the small and delicate variety known as Johnny-Jump Up. Pansies have heart-shaped, overlapping petals. They are also known for having a range of bright, pretty colours and patterns.

Pansies can survive a frost. If the blooms wither in the cold, the plants will often stay alive to bloom again, making them an ideal flowering plant for fall and early winter.

To express feelings of love, you can send a pansy to those you hold dear to your heart. It is also the symbol of platonic love. You can send pansies to your parents and friends. Pansies also signify free-thinking and consideration.
